Family time w/ Tim's Parents
>> Monday, January 20, 2014
When Tim's parents mentioned that they wanted to come visit us in 2013 we told them that Christmas time would be a great time! For one thing the weather isn't hot then. For another thing Christmas feels so different over here and it's a harder time to be without family. So, it was decided and the flights were booked! We couldn't wait for them to arrive!!
The night that they arrived the kids stayed up really late just because they were so excited! They enjoyed cuddling and giggling with Nammy on the couch!
In the days that followed we had lots of time to hang out with them! Joseph and Faith loved playing Candyland with Papa! They laughed at how he got stuck in the gooey gum drops!
They arrived a week before Christmas. This gave us some time to go out and finish Christmas shopping. They might not remember this picture because they were still jet lagging.
Here's a picture of them playing another game. Faith was the one who came in last place. Papa called her the "fourth winner" so she was happy!
It was so good to have them at our house, eating at our table! This is a fun memory eating Arab food (chicken & rice) right after Jojo lost his tooth!
There were plenty of balls flying around the house when Papa was awake! Jojo and Faith sure did keep him busy!
Here's a pic of Papa & Jojo flying airplanes.
Papa waxed the car with his "big helper!"
This is probably my favorite picture! I think all four of them had a great time together!
Here's our family Christmas Eve picture!
On the second Saturday that they were here, we went out to a traditional Arab breakfast!
We had a nice time at breakfast!
We had a nice time walking around our village after picking Faith up from preschool!
After preschool we always do homework and Faith didn't mind Papa watching her.
Another day, when we walked to pick Faith up, Nammy went with us too. She said to make sure and get a picture of Faith's school...here you go, Nammy!
We took a detour by the sea on the way home.
When we got home the kids ran behind some bushes to hide from us...it's fun memory of saying "Where did they go?" and hearing their giggles from behind the bushes!
New Years Day we had some down time playing in the yard. Faith is getting better at hitting the ball with a bat!
A hug from Nammy is a good reward for hitting the ball!
We had fun playing in the yard!
On their last Saturday we went to our favorite Arab restaurant!
We all enjoyed the food...chicken and rice!
Seeing the camels at the camel farm was fun!
We couldn't get over how far the camels can stick their lips out to grab the hay.
Such a special time with Tim's parents! We're so glad they came!
