Family Fun in Albuquerque (Nov & Dec)
>> Monday, December 22, 2014
November and December flew by with a lot of fun activities!
On November 21st we celebrated 5 years since Faith joined our family. I blogged about it here.
A few days later Tim's sister, Karla, and her family came to Albuquerque for the week of Thanksgiving! It's always fun to see the cousins enjoying each other and getting to spend some quality time as families!
Fun with John!
Playing in the playhouse with Emma!
Ping Pong in the back yard!
John and Joseph are only 2 years apart and they're both such boys!
Emma and John are sweet siblings! I can't believe how much they're growing up. I'm so glad they came to Albuquerque so we could spend some time with them!
On Thanksgiving Day we got together with extended family, which was a very full house! Tim's cousin, Valerie, was there from California with her husband...what a treat to see them! Valerie directed some games for the kids and they loved it!
This is a sweet picture with my Mother-In-Law and Sister-In-Law! I sure love them!
Tim and his Uncle Nate enjoy catching up. It's funny to see them sitting in chairs talking. Usually they're repairing a roof or painting a house together.
Faith got to sit with Uncle Nate during some singing time.
And then she also got to sit with Aunt Marilyn! Faith is blessed with even great aunts and uncles who love her!
A little more than a week after Thanksgiving, Grandma and Grampa flew down to Albuquerque! What a treat to have them come be with us. They came to see the Christmas Play that Joseph and Faith were in at church.
It's so special for me to sit back and watch my parents love on my kids. Joseph and Faith are so blessed by them! I think my mom and dad don't mind having Joseph and Faith crawl up on their lap or play wrestling games with them. There's a lot of love between them and it's fun to watch!
Grandma bought bikes for Joseph and Faith when they were staying at their house in Colorado. They enjoyed using them in Albuquerque too!
Such fun memories with Grandma!
One day when we were out and about we stopped by Sonic for some special drinks!
One evening we went with both sets of Grandparents to the River of Lights display! We were amazed by all of the lights!
Something really special about being in the States around Christmas time was how festive everything felt! It just feels so Christmassy to see all of the lights and hear the Christmas music everywhere.
Here's a picture of Joseph and Faith with both Grandmas and both Grampas!
Here's a family pic by the pirate ship.
The kids also liked the many lights of different animals. This rhino even moved it's head!
About a week later we went to a ballet called "Christmas Joy" with Nammy & Papa! We loved how it told the birth of Christ. It was very worshipful and focused on the real reason we celebrate Christmas.
I loved seeing these two dressed up in special Christmas clothes!
Things got busy between moving out of the house we got to stay in and getting ready to travel to Colorado for Christmas. But, we were glad we got to participate in Christmas caroling with our church! That was a fun new experience for Joseph and Faith!
