Fourth of July!!

>> Wednesday, July 6, 2011

We had such a great time on July 4th!! We haven't been able to celebrate America's Independence Day in the States since 2006. It was extra special for us to be able to be in the States this year! We put on our red, white, and blue and went to the parade in Greeley, Colorado! We have enjoyed the parade in this farming community in the past and so we were looking forward to it! We met our friends, the Napiers, who had found us a good spot the day before!

Joseph enjoyed this parade with his USA headband!!
It was fun to see so many American flags!
There were lots of horses in the parade...the kids loved seeing the horses!
Joseph and Emily get along well!
Lynette brought popcorn and the kids LOVED eating it!!
A fun bus in the parade!
Joseph and Faith got to have all four grandparents at the parade with them!! Here Faith and Papa are waving to the people in the parade!
Russ & Ann didn't mind being surrounded by all of the kids!
Joseph and Faith watching the parade together!
Tractors were in the parade!

Faith liked eating the apples too!
This was a fun band to watch! They danced as they played!!
I even got a turn holding Faith at the parade! :)
The grandpas rode their motorcycles to the parade.
Grandma even rode back home on the motorcycle.
Joseph and Faith got to enjoy the pool in the backyard and Grandma & Grampa's house!

They loved eating watermelon! Such a summer thing to do!

In the evening we went to Folsom Field in Boulder for a great fireworks display!
