I'm thankful for my college years

I went to school at a tiny little college in Phoenix called Southwestern College. I loved this school and the friends I made there! I have so many great memories from the four years I spent there.
We also got to see some of our college friends. I blogged about that here.
Tim and the kids took a picture in front of the administration building. We spent many hours here in classes, at the computer lab, and at the library. Tim worked at the library and I worked for the dean of students.
There were only a few people there that remembered us. It was nice to see a couple of familiar faces!
Another place where we spent a lot of time was the Student Activity Center (SAC).
Here's a picture of when Tim was leading worship in the SAC.
This is a picture of the Christmas Banquet our freshman year! We look so young!
This is a fun picture from our freshman year, when we lived in the dorms. The girls lived upstairs and the guys were downstairs. We weren't allowed in the guys hall.
For the last three years of college, we lived in the apartments on campus. Here's a picture with my roommates from one year! We had fun together!
Here's another picture of a bunch of us sitting outside at the apartments. So many great memories!
Here's a picture of Tim and I from the one semester that I sang in choir. I wasn't really cut out for singing in the choir, but Tim was.
Here's another picture of us before the Christmas Banquet our sophomore year. I know this because that's when I lived in apartment 22!
I was in the elementary education program. When I graduated, I got my teaching license and started teaching at a public school. I felt well prepared for teaching!!
I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to go to college! I know it's something that not all women around the world get to do.
Earlier this year, in February, we went by our college. We knew that it had changed names, but it was so weird. They had replaced the old sign...I wasn't ready for that! I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to go to college! I know it's something that not all women around the world get to do.
